" The rush and pressure of modern life are a form, perhaps the most common form, of it's innate violence. To allow oneself to be carried away by a multitude of conflicting demands, to commit oneself to too many projects, to want to help everyone in everything is to succumb to violence. More than that, it is cooperation in violence. The frenzy of the activist ... destroys his own inner capacity for peace. It destroys the fruitfulness of his own work, because it kills the root of inner wisdom which makes work fruitful."
Thomas Merton

'Becoming the Seer' ONLINE Workshops via zoom
Sunday 11 June and Sunday 16 July 10.00 am to 3.30 pm completed - further dates to be confirmed.
You are welcome to attend all or any of these workshops. Further dates to be confirmed. Suitable for beginners as well as more experienced practitioners and teachers.
Just by living a normal life and doing a little bit of meditation every day we will see our situation very clearly and gain perspective. It is not what happens to us, but how we relate to what happens to us that really matters. Using traditional yoga techniques we will come to realise how easy meditation really is and how the inevitable ups and downs of life itself can become our meditation.
These workshops will consist of traditional preparations;
Breath awareness, abdominal breathing, alternate nostril breathing and viloma as well as movements to release the joints and spine.
Relaxations;
Yoga nidra - a withdrawal of the senses leading to deep relaxation and conscious sleep.
Yoga Nyasa - directed awareness synchronised with the breath.
and Meditation Techniques;
Antar mouna – the practice of inner silence.
Ajapa japa - the repetition of mantra, synchronised with the breath.
Chidekasha Dharana - awareness of the mind space
